Armstrong Creek Update 2/24

Post by CHOPPER 3 »

The SS2 and NST1 were groomed early sunday morning along with the sections south SS1 and SS6. The heat wave we saw this weekend settled the snow we have somewhat but by no means was it a game changer. Obviously anywhere theres trail running along the blacktop its a little skimpy but not in all areas. Grooming actually went pretty well but it may take one more trip out tonight to get em back to where they were before the weekend. I only saw about a dozen riders yesterday in the Armstrong Creek area. It was nice to see the boys who brush the Nelligan Pond east section yesterday :D .Trails are rated good to very good and will improve during the week with another cold snap on the way. The gravel roads are all still ice covered. To answer the looming question "How the hell were you out grooming in 40 degree weather", the answer is simple.. the Trailsetter drags we pull are the Swiss Army knife of snow drags. Grooming yesterday would have been impossible without it. Hopefully we get some snow this week to brighten things up again, extra thanks are in order in our area to some of the local pitstops ...
